Meet Susan

I started Blooming Therapy Co. after 17 years as a full-time mental health provider, and 11 years as a clinician. As a specialty provider, I offer the following:
- A passion for helping people of all ages reach their fullest potential
- A person-centered, empowerment lens
- A holistic approach to mental health care, which integrates creativity, spiritual health, Buddhist philosophy, and experiential learning
In addition to therapy in private practice, I have worked as a military counselor, a foster care social worker, a family law mediator, a community-based therapist with children and adolescents, a case manager with older adults, and a clinical supervisor in non-profit settings.
A range of work experiences, as well as my personal childhood and adult experiences, have contributed to who I am as a clinician today.
In my free time, I enjoy making art in my home studio, learning about space exploration and astronomy, birding, meditation, spiritual reflection, swimming, and relaxing with my 2 rescue dogs.
